Rum Punch

These drinks pack a punch so proceed with caution - not just because they’re strong but because they’re so damn good that they go down a little too easily! I make them in a big pitcher then refrigerate until I’m ready to serve them.

Makes 8 drinks

  • 2 cups Bacardi or other white rum 

  • 1 1/2 cups good coconut rum, I prefer Malibu

  • 2 1/2 cups pineapple juice 

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice 

  • Maraschino cherry juice 

  • Maraschino Cherries

Place the Bacardi, coconut rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and lime juice all in pitcher. Stir to thoroughly combine then place in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve.

To serve: Fill a highball glass with ice and pour about 1 teaspoon of the Maraschino cherry juice into each glass. Give the rum mixture another stir then slowly pour into each glass. Fill to the top of each glass. If you pour it in slowly enough, the cherry juice should stay at the bottom, making a bit of a sunset in a glass. Top each drink with a cherry and a tiny umbrella if you feel fancy!

Serve immediately.
