Brooklyn Point | Private Residence

I’m so excited to share my latest project with you!

Welcome to Brooklyn Point! The sky-high residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. It’s a glorious building with all of the amenities you can imagine - and I’ve been lucky enough to design two apartments in the building to date. Below is my latest project: A NYC/New Jersey facing apartment with views of the Staten Island Ferry, One World Trade and so much more!

With a space like this it was so important for us to make the view the focal point, so in an effort to keep the interior space very minimal we chose natural materials in neutral colors. We mixed and matched the neutrals to keep the space feeling large, with only slight pops of color throughout. My client was keen on using materials that have been tested for safety in production and overall green footprint.

Being an ultra-tech savvy individual, my client also wanted to ensure that everything we used in the house was compatible with his Apple devices. So we worked with the Shade Store to implement incredible curtain systems. Not only are they electronic, they’re also rechargeable by included solar panels, helping to reduce my client’s electric bill and giving another nod to that environmentally-friendly apartment that he so wanted. I mean, come on, is there anything better than waking up, and telling Siri to open your blinds for you and up they go? With a view as spectacular as this one, there’s really no other way.

To bring some warmth and color to the space, we worked with Venetian Walls, a fantastic company here in New York to install Pierre Frey wallpaper in both the bedroom and the office, and apply Farrow & Ball paint throughout the apartment.

As all of our design processes go, we worked with our client to create mood boards and submitted visual renderings of the space so that he got a real sense of what he’d be living in.

We render each room to scale so our clients truly understand the design.

…and bring those renderings to life!

We hope you love this apartment as much as we’ve enjoyed working on it!
