make it chic, make it target!

It amazes me how often I hear, "I'd love to work with you, but I don't have a big budget." Let me tell you, you don’t need to spend a fortune to create a beautiful home.

In fact, I frequently find stylish staples at places like Wayfair, Amazon, TJ Maxx, and HomeGoods that can elevate any room. To illustrate this, I’ve dedicated this newsletter to showcasing products solely from Target, proving you can achieve a super stylish room on a small budget.

When working with my clients, I love to mix high and low-end items. However, you can absolutely create a stunning room with affordable pieces. In the rendering below, you’ll find everything you need to design a complete space from top to bottom. I'll also guide you through how I’ve combined these items to create a cohesive and dazzling collection that will make your home shine!

Once you go through each piece, I’d love to know what you think!

Stay chic!

start with the basics

It might seem unexciting, but I love starting with neutral-colored furniture in my designs. Using pieces with bold colors can make it challenging to create a cohesive look for the entire room. Instead, I prefer to let incredible art, fun wallpaper, and exciting prints on accents shine. This approach allows for a more harmonious and layered design. Below, you’ll find some versatile furniture options that would complement any room beautifully.

accent throughout

Rooms truly come together when you begin layering pieces over your base elements. These additions don’t always need to be big and bold; sometimes, function takes precedence over fashion. I love rooms that balance the two! As I layer, I try to consider textures, colors, and shapes to create a space that is both interesting and dynamic!

 don’t forget the details

The next pieces are purely for aesthetic purposes. While I always advise my clients to fill their homes with treasures from their travels and memories with family and friends, sometimes you need a few stylish decorative items. Trust me, I have plenty of beautiful but non-functional decor in my home, and they just make me smile!
